26th January 2016: Today FM News
Start Strong featured in a report on Today FM's National Lunchtime News on the Cabinet's discussions on implementing two weeks' paid paternity leave.
In her interview, Start Strong Director CiairĂn de Buis outlined that the step was significant, but should be seen as the first of many steps needed to bring family leave in Ireland in line with best international standards.
As part of its early Years #GE16 campaign, Start Strong is calling for the introduction of 6 months' paid parental leave over the lifetime of the next Government, giving parents the option of caring for their children at home for the critical first year of life.
