Submission to the DCYA Inter Departmental Group - April 2015
This submission is Start Strong’s response to the public consultation questionnaire for the Inter-Departmental Group on Future Investment in Early Years and School-Age Care and Education
In it, we argue the case for direct investment in pre-school services. If we subsidise the cost of ‘childcare’ parents pay less. And by making the funding conditional on high-quality we can make sure children benefit. Tax credits are not the solution as they will do nothing to improve quality.
