Submission on Children First - Heads of Bill

May 2012 - The Government has taken a very positive step forwards with the publication of draft legislation to put the "Children First" child protection guidelines onto a statutory footing. It's a measure that has long been advocated by a wide range of organisations. The drafting of the legislation is still at an early stage. Start Strong is concerned at the exclusion of childminders from the bill, as currently drafted.
